Joe Minchik (he/him) is a Brooklyn-based playwright and performer. He’s recently received a residency from Chateau d’Orquevaux to develop his writing. In 2021 he workshopped a solo show with the help of Fiasco Theater, a piece originally developed under the guidance of Seth Barrish from the Barrow Group. An early performance of the piece received the Board Favorite Award from the Charm City Fringe Festival in Baltimore, MD. He’s also written the short play With This Ring, a 2015 New York New Works Festival finalist. He is an alum of Fiasco Theater’s inaugural six-week conservatory class, a member The Barrow Group Theater’s 2019 apprentice company, and a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. He has studied at The Second City Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade, Peoples Improv Theater, and began his professional career interning for the head-writers of the Late Show with David Letterman.
