Updates from the Company (June 2022)

Introducing: Updates from the Company

Fiasco company members are constantly developing and sharing work beyond our organization, even while simultaneously working on Fiasco projects. In an effort to further highlight their incredible artistry we are thrilled to introduce our Updates from the Company series, in which we'll periodically share information from Andy, Ben, Devin, Emily, Jessie, Noah, Paul, Paco, and Tina on their non-Fiasco efforts, and celebrate the phenomenal depth and breadth of work that this group creates. Scroll on to read updates from the first half of 2022!

Paco Tolson recently appeared on a special "Law & Order" franchise crossover event between SVU and Organized Crime in May as well as Billions on Showtime. He is currently voicing the role of the Dauphin in Henry V for the Play On! Shakespeare Podcast Series written by Lloyd Suh (The Chinese Lady/The Public) and directed by Krista Williams (The Lark).

"Pleasure Never Lies," a new musical co-created by Noah Brody, Marshall Hagins, and Brad Moranz, which received a EST/Sloan (Ensemble Studio Theatre and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation) commission in 2020, had a first workshop reading at the EST First Light Festival this April.

In May Devin E. Haqq traveled to France for the 75th annual Film Festival de Cannes. The short film Cupids, directed by Zoey Martinson, which Devin produced alongside Korey Jackson, was presented at the American Pavilion at Cannes in the Emerging Filmmakers Showcase. He is now in Washington DC, working as the associate director on a production of Midsummer Night's Dream (July 12th - August 28th) at the Folger Theatre directed by Victor Malana Maog. This is Folger's first in-person production coming out of the pandemic and will be presented at the National Building Museum.

Emily Young spent this spring working on the Tony-nominated Broadway production of "How I Learned to Drive," understudying the female Greek chorus.

Jessie Austrian is working on a world premiere new musical, A Beautiful Noise, in Boston this summer.
