SENSORY-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCE

MARCH 10 @ 2 PM

Fiasco Theater is pleased to announce that we are offering a sensory-friendly performance of Pericles on March 10 — FREE OF CHARGE.

Due to an overwhelming response, we currently have a waitlist for the sensory-friendly performance.

HOW IT WORKS

To request tickets for our sensory-friendly performance, please email us at info@fiascotheater.com — or click the button above

We will follow up with next steps!

To create a relaxed performance, the show is performed in a welcoming, supportive environment for neurodiverse individuals and anyone wishing to attend with them. Slight modifications may be made to sound and lighting levels or staging elements to help make the performance more sensory-friendly but the integrity of the script remains the same.

  • Resource material is available for download on the show’s website.

  • Both actors and house staff receive training prior to the performance

  • a designated break area in the lobby is reserved for any audience members who wish to come and go from their seats.

  • The theatre offers sensory support tools and a clinically trained professional on site during the show to help, if requested, as well as other trained support people.

This inclusive performance aims to be respectful of all individual comfort levels and welcomes anyone who enjoys a more relaxed approach to attending live theater.

CAPTIONING PERFORMANCES

HOW IT WORKS

CLOSED CAPTIONING

All performances of Fiasco Theater’s Pericles will have closed captioning available on any personal smart device, made possible by GlobeTitles.

Patrons will be given a URL and access to free WiFi in order to follow along on their own devices. Closed captions can be turned on or off by the viewer, at their discretion, and will be available at all performances of Pericles with the use of a personal smart device.

OPEN CAPTIONING (MARCH 18-19)

Additionally, the production will have two open captioned performances on Monday March 18 at 7pm and Tuesday March 19 at 7pm. Open captions are always visible and cannot be turned on or off. The two performances with open captions will have video screens near the stage that will display the text alongside the performance.

Captioning for Fiasco Theater’s Pericles is supported in part by
a gift in honor of Jacqueline Hess, from her daughter
and a grant from NYSCA/TDF TAP Plus.
